I need a best friend.
I think it's a necessity in life really. Ever since I realized my 'best friend' was a homophobic fucktard(sorry for the language) I havnt had that one constant person in my life.
Everyone needs that someone who knows you in and out. Who you can go to anytime and just hang out.
I've lost that.
I need it back.

I agree with Ian. Finding a new best friend takes time. I have no doubt that a true best friend is just around the corner. Don't give up hope!
They are right: you can't force it; you have to be patient. Realize that life is always changing, and while you wait for a change for the better, try not to let yourself become desperate, because in desperation you might do something foolish, like attaching yourself yo someone unsuitable. Keep the hope.

I thank God every day for my best friend. She (yes, she) is kind, warm, compassionate; she listens, lets me vent or cry, and never judges. She was the first person I hadn't had s*x with that I came out to. Of course, I reciprocate 100%, it's only fair.
You'll find your best friend. (S)He is out there. Be friendly, be active in all kinds of stuff (I met M in a cave), get out there. Theatre is a great place to make friends - I still see many of my friends from University Theatre, one of them also qualifies as a best friend.
Yeah, we can just hang out. And you'll find one!
